Surviving Reality TV Casting Calls
Do you know what I've noticed about entertainment these days? It has changed drastically from what it used to be. Just take a look at Hollywood for starters. Actors and actresses are a different breed now. Remember when the leading men used to actually be tall? Ha, this is basically gone. Most male celebrities are like 5'9'' on a good day. And the women have no clue what is appealing. They lose weight and lose weight until only a skeleton is left. Well, at least they know they're not fat, right? Anyway, it's sort irrelevant at this point. In this current era it's all about reality shows. I'm talking reality tv casting galore. When are they not coming out with some new reality series! It's getting quite ridiculous if I do say so myself. Are you a reality show junkie, or are you getting sick of the hype?
It's not difficult to test the waters when it comes to reality tv casting. You too can audition for most of these shows. If this is something you're interested in, then the Internet is where you should check it all out. Just pop open Google.com and punch in the phrase "reality tv casting." This should familiarize you with the process and any new shows that are looking for cast members. Trust me when I say that folks around the globe are doing this all the time. So there's no reason to think you won't get cast. You probably have as much of a chance as the rest of them. One thing I don't think a lot of people realize is what draws executives to reality tv casting. Think about it for a second. They're not paying actors. How ideal is this for them! They take an idea for a reality show, and then they cast some nobodies. So what if the winner gets 250 grand or some small sum. That's nothing compared to what they're paying many of these actors for a mere episode of a television series. But that's not all. There's not even a script or high-tech filming involved. That means no screenwriter and no awesome camera and digital effects. Heck, maybe even no director. Are you beginning to realize why studios like reality tv casting? It saves them cash!
Okay, so you're one of the many interested in reality tv casting. This is totally fine. Clearly by now you must realize that it's all about taking it to the next level. You have to give them some reason to cast you over some other guy or girl.
